Ours is a journey of continuous, consistent and self-propelled re-invention.From our very first day in 2001, we understood the need to root ourselves in a culture of innovation.We defied convention. We defied the odds. We maintained momentum. We challenged boundaries, even the ones that we had previously defined ourselves by. Neither our business model nor our brand position could withstand our forward momentum, both of which have changed continuously to accommodate our broadening dreams.It was imperative for us to not be framed by our imagined limitations or to be limited by the norms set by the market. Our passion to experiment and our need to keep inventing is the deepest strand in our DNA. Our intellectual curiosity has kept us ahead of the market for over a decade, and has led to our position as the largest training service provider in Sri Lanka.The journey will continue: innovating, driving momentum and breaking boundaries, every step of the way adding value to our stakeholders.It’s a promise. It’s our way of life.

Our story began back in 1998, “The Boss” Ruki de Silva decided to leave behind the lucrative career in IT consulting and pursue his passion in transforming people. In that year he conducted a 2 hour programme with video debrief for the 1st time in Sri Lanka and that was the launch of 361 In 2001, together with his school friend he ventured forth to realize the destiny of their passions by founding Wild Drift. June 2001 saw the budding company conduct its first programs at Belihuloya and since then the accolades and industry-wide recognition has flowed in.
Ruki and Wild drift pioneered taking the training and development industry in Sri Lanka to the next level, making many records including the introduction of video debrief for corporate training programs, Launch of Paintball as a part of Corporate Training, Launch and use of Audience Response Systems in Sri Lanka.
Ruki grew his reputation and clientele, yet even becoming a sought-after Trainer / Consultant was not sufficient to satisfy his ambitions. Consolidation and restructuring for Wild Drift, 361 Edge and 361 Interactive started in 2013, and nurtured under one umbrella of 361 Degrees.
This remarkable journey accelerated our growth over the last 17 years and built a powerhouse much more than a training company. We are proud to say that we’ve worked with more than 250 leading Sri Lankan companies, helping them to overcome their business challenges and transform their organisations. We conducted our 1000th Programme in 2015, 1425th in August 2018.

HAPPINESS AT WORK

If you really think about it, NOBODY wants to be unhappy at work. This is something workers have known for as long as work existed and even employers have known it for almost 100 years. Of course, the typical employer perspective is that happy employees lead to more profitable companies. But one thing that has always set us at 361 Degrees apart is our belief that people deserve to feel good at work

In pursuit of creating happiness at work, over the years, our portfolio has evolved. But we knew all along that there was SOMETHING missing, something that was ELUDING us.

Rukmal De Silva


Ruki left behind a lucrative international career in IT Consulting when he realized that what he really got a thrill out of was helping people to improve and organizations to transform. But even becoming a sought after Trainer / Consultant was not sufficient to satisfy his ambitions – so he multiplied his impact by building up what has now become Sri Lanka’s largest corporate training provider.

With 20 (17 with 361) years’ of training/consulting experience, he specializes in Business Strategy, Organizational Transformation, Innovation, Leadership Development, Gamification, Employee Engagement, and Team Building

Sifaan Zavahir


With international accolades in programming, and studying Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sifaan seemed well set for a career in ICT, when a serendipitous introduction to AIESEC (a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential) led him to switch to training and development. With 20 (9 with 361) years’ of training/consulting experience, he specializes in Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Innovation and Creativity, Assessment Centers, Psychometrics, and Team Building

Fahad Farook


Fahad’s always had the gift of the gab, which he used as a compere to influence people before he ever thought of becoming a trainer. Joining 361 Degrees unleashed his skills to the training domain, which together with his 5 years’ experience in Mass Communications, make him an articulate and engaging trainer.

With 7 years’ of training/consulting experience, he specializes in Motivation (individual / team), Employee Engagement, Public Speaking / Communication / Training of Trainers, Team Building, Leadership Development, and Creativity

Gihan De Silva


Gihan has 12 years of experience in Sales & Business Development in the Logistics and Transport industry, in Sri Lanka and the UAE and currently heads the MICE arm of 361 Degrees. His entry point to the field of training came through Junior Chamber International, where he specialized in grooming and project management.

With 14 (11 with 361) years’ of training/consulting experience, he specializes in Sales Training, Sports Motivation, Personal & Professional Grooming, and Team Building

Nalina Wanasinghe


Nalina’s talent for inspiring people to get things done when the going gets tough was unearthed during his leadership roles at Junior Chamber International, and honed in his work as a Manager in a leading transport & logistics firm as well as the boutique event management firm he runs. With 8 years’ of training experience with 361, he specializes in Employee Engagement and Team Building programs

His ability to connect with participants and desire to help them learn makes him an asset on any program, while the skills behind the DJ console adds to his appeal

Ravipriya Bandara


Ravipriya is the Idealogist at 361 team. Despite his education on Marketing and Accounting, following his leadership experience with AIESEC (a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential) he decided to explore more on his interest to develop people and leadership. His exposure to different social circles and ability to learn fast helps him to adjust for different program needs and audiences.

With 5 (3 with 361) years’ of training/consulting experience, he specializes in Team Building, Employee Engagement, Youth Empowerment, Conference Facilitation, Creativity, Sports Motivation, Enabling Leadership

Thineth Rajapaksha


Thineth is entertainer. His friendly approach in facilitation and humor he brings in conversations helps participant digest insights in memorable ways. Even though he come from a Civil Engineering background, his passion to contribute in people development has brought him onboard to 361 Team.

With 3 years’ experience with 361 as a trainer he specializes in Team Building, Employee engagement programs. He was the Chapter President in JCI Sri Lanka Gampaha, and National Secretary in JCI Sri Lanka following year
